A Bantams second in Red Wing tournament

RED WING &045; After finishing in second place in its home tournament, the Albert Lea A Bantams hockey team went to Red Wing playing well and turned in another strong showing.
Albert Lea beat Cloquet 3-0. Scoring for the locals were Adam Royce assisted by Jared Bowman, Evan Hegwood assisted by Mark Walton, and Bowman unassisted.
Albert Lea then defeated Sartell 9-2 to advance to the championship game. Scoring for Albert Lea were Walton, Royce, Bowman, Dustin Arendt, Dalton Hanson and a hat trick by Hegwood, with assists coming from Arendt, McKinney, Logan Ferrie, Zach Schumaker, Walton and Royce.
In the championship game they fell short to a strong Red Wing team 4-2. Scoring for Albert Lea were Walton and McKinney with an assist going to Hanson.
Also playing well for the home team was Scott Possehl, Casey Woodside and Andrew Weisert. Goalie Ben Waalkens stopped 47 shots for the weekend.
