Irene Kay Holz, 46, Glenville

Funeral services for Irene Kay Holz of Glenville, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 3, at the Round Prairie Lutheran Church. The Rev. Tamara Dahlvang will officiate. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 2, from 4-8 p.m. at the Bonnerup Funeral Service, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Round Prairie Cemetery.
Irene died Saturday afternoon, Nov. 29, 2003, surrounded by her family at her side at the Albert Lea Medical Center. She had fought a courageous battle with cancer for the last 12 years. She was 46 years of age.
Irene was born Aug. 31, 1957, in Albert Lea, the daughter of Robert and Rosie (Oudekerk) Holecek. She was a graduate of Glenville High School and the Albert Lea Technical College.
Irene was united in marriage to Elmer C. Holz Jr. on Aug. 18, 1979, in Albert Lea. She was employed as a receptionist at the Albert Lea Technical College and then by Truth Inc. in Owatonna. Irene was a member of the Round Prairie Lutheran Church. She enjoyed working puzzle books and spending time with her beloved pets, Lexie, Abby and Penny.
Irene is survived by her husband, Elmer; parents: Robert and Rosie Holecek of Glenville; brother, Rodney Holecek of Glenville; aunts, uncles and special cousins: Barb Braby, Karen Quam and Sara Belbeck.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Ralph and Irene Oudekerk, and James and Lucille Holecek.
Irene will be sadly missed by her loving family and many friends.
