Funeral services for Stanley F. Lenz, age 85, of Albert Lea, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, at First Presbyterian Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Dwight Netzer will officiate. Interment will be in Shady Oaks Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-7 p.m. Saturday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the church.

Stanley died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2003, at Albert Lea Good Samaritan Center.

Stanley Franklin Lenz was born July 27, 1918, to Franklin W. and Adella L. (Schneider) Lenz in Nunda Township. He attended School District #42 and had lived in Freeborn County all his life. On July 20, 1941, Stanley was united in marriage to Idoris Johanna Hanson in Albert Lea. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church where he had been a deacon and a member of the District #42 school board, Sons of Norway, and the Elks. Stanley enjoyed playing cards, spending time with his many friends and family, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, playing pool, and camping with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his sons: Larry and his wife Delores of Algona, Iowa, and Lonny and his wife Laurie of Albert Lea; and his grandchildren: Jason and Derek of Albert Lea, and Lanae of St. Paul.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Idoris.
