Here are highlights in history for Oct. 30, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1992 — Albert Lea police were investigating the death of a horse on North Bridge Avenue. The horse was hit in the neck with an arrow and bled to death.
1982 — Albert Lea’s Junior Achievement started its 23rd year. This program for high school students was being sponsored by Streater Industries, Daybreakers Kiwanis, Queen Products, J.C. Penney Co. and KATE/KCPI.
1952 — The Albert Lea High School Tigers football team defeated Austin Packers with a score of 12-7 in a game played at Abbott Field.
