Dolores M. Seifert, 91, Sleepy Eye

Dolores M. Seifert, age 91, formerly of rural Sleepy Eye, died Monday, Sept. 29, 2003, at the Divine Providence Home in Sleepy Eye.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 2, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye with the Rev. Brian Oestreich officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be today from noon to 1 p.m. at the Divine Providence Home Chapel in Sleepy Eye. Visitation will continue today from 4-8 p.m. and on Thursday from 7:30-10 a.m. at the former Minnesota Valley Funeral Home location, 521 W. Main St., in Sleepy Eye. There will be a parish prayer service at 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Dolores is survived by daughters and sons-in-law: Viola and Dennis Leff of Onamia, Teresa and Jim Wenisch of Lamberton, Monica and Larry Clayton of Colorado Springs, Colo., Marie and Gary Hoffmann of Worthington, Martha and Richard Andersen of Albert Lea; sons and daughters-in-law: Marvin and Janice Seifert, and Lewis and Arlene Seifert, all of New Ulm, Lowell and Mary Ann Seifert, Gerald Seifert and Dee, and Michael and Linda Seifert all of Sleepy Eye, 27 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, two step great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Martha Schneider, a resident of the Oak Hills Living Center in New Ulm; and by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arthur, on May 18, 1988; a son in infancy; a grandson; a grandson in infancy; and by 12 brothers and sisters.
Dolores was known in this area for being the mother of Seifert Quads: Monica, Marie, Martha, and Michael. This was the first set of quads born in Minnesota.
