NFL Punt, Pass & Kick competition set for Sunday

Young pro-football fans will have the opportunity to exhibit their football skills when the Albert Lea Jaycees host an NFL Pepsi Punt Pass & Kick competition Sunday, Sept. 28 at 4 p.m. at the Hammer Field practice field. The competition is free and open to boys and girls age 8 to 15.

The NFL Pepsi Punt, Pass & Kick competition allows youngsters to showcase their talents in punting, passing and placekicking with scores based on distance and accuracy. Age classification is as of Dec. 31, 2003.

The top finishers from each of eight groups at the local competition will advance to the sectional level. The winners at sectional have their scores compared with other section champions, and the top five scorers from the pool advance to the Minnesota Vikings Team Championship to be held in November.
