CLEVELAND &045; The Alden-Conger Knights won their first football game in two seasons Friday, 46-22 at Cleveland.
Trailing 16-14 after one quarter and 22-20 at halftime, the Knights blanked the Clippers in the second half while putting 26 unanswered points on the board.
Jason Hemmingsen was the leader for the Knights, scoring on runs of 65, 20 and 11 yards while returning an interception 67 yards for a touchdown.
For the night, Hemmingsen totaled 217 yards rushing on 23 carries and caught two passes for 25 yards. Quarterback Tim Martinson was 5-for-12 for 41 yards, with one interception.
The Knights face Granada-Huntley/East Chain/Martin Luther in their home opener this Friday at 7 p.m. at Alden.
