People are weary of stadium talk

On Sunday, Oct. 30, on Page 5A of the Albert Lea Tribune, there appeared the headline: “Dayton, GOP talk stadium.” Their conclusion after a lengthy private meeting: They need more time.
I recall a discussion at a VFW Post meeting (50 years ago). The project was discussed pro/con for several hours. A member rose to be recognized and said “We talked things to death.” Can we apply this to the Vikings stadium issue? Ya sure, youbetcha.
More time? Hmmmmmm. Studies, plans, meetings, etc., number in the thousands. Articles in the newspapers, end to end would reach California. Need more time? For what? I’m sure the residents of Minnesota are fed up. I know I am, over and over of the same old story. Where to build, how to finance, or move. A veteran of World War II, I am glad the mayors, city councils and other interested officials are studying and planning the war. I probably will still be in the service.
Enough talk, talk, articles, articles. Rise the issue from the jaws of death.
