Sharon Kay Halverson, 44

A service celebrating the life of Sharon Kay Halverson, age 44, of Sartell, Minn.

will be 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25, 2003 at First Presbyterian Church, 373 4th Ave. S. St. Cloud, Minn. Sharon was called home to be with her Lord on Aug. 22, 2003 after a valiant fight against cancer. There will be a private burial at Oak Hill Cemetery in Sartell before the services Monday. A visitation will be Sunday evening from 4-8 p.m. at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in St. Cloud. Friends may also gather at the church on Monday after 1:30 p.m.

Sharon was born in Lima (suburban Philadelphia), Pa. on Feb. 27, 1959 to Herbert and Audrey (Meierbachtol) Telshaw. She spent her early schooling in Melbourne, Australia, her middle school years in Kinnelon, N.J. and high school in Seoul, South Korea. She graduated from St. Olaf College, School of Nursing.

She practiced nursing while her husband attended medical school, after which they moved to Sartell. Sharon, who led a simple Christian life, was a devoted wife and mother and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Sharon was a member of New Hope Church in Sartell and First Presbyterian Church in St. Cloud.

Sharon is survived by her husband, Dr. Paul Halverson M.D., Sartell; children,

Joshua, Eric and Carrie, all at home in Sartell.

She is also survived by her parents, Herb and Audrey Telshaw, Edina, sister, Laurie (Michael) Dammar, Brooklyn Park , mother and father-in-law, Viola and Henry Halverson, Albert Lea, and nieces and nephews.

Sharon is preceded in death by her sister, Susan Flaherty.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to New Hope Church, Sartell: First Presbyterian Church, St. Cloud and World Vision.
