Eunice E. Madson, 83, Albert Lea

The funeral service for Eunice E. Madson, of 709 Johnson St., Albert Lea, will be 10 a.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. Dan Baker will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, and one hour before the service at the church.
Eunice died Monday Aug. 11, 2003, at St. Marys Hospital, Rochester. She was 83 years old.
Eunice was born July 19, 1920, in Albert Lea to Soren Thorvald and Hannah (Olsen) Sorenson. She was a lifetime resident of Albert Lea and graduated from Albert Lea High School. Eunice married Floyd Madson in 1939 at Northwood, Iowa. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and belonged to the Caring and Sharing group, past secretary of the Ladies Aid, served on the committee for Worship Offering, treasurer for Sunday School, and would also play piano for Sunday School. Eunice worked for the Albert Lea Tribune, and 18 years for the Freeborn County Courthouse as Deputy Clerk of Court. Eunice’s family was most important to her.
Eunice is survived by her husband, Floyd Madson of Albert Lea; daughter, Marilyn Landmark of Plymouth, Minn.; grandson, Jeff Landmark and his wife Michelle of Chaska, Minn.; nieces: Teresa McMonagle of St. Louis Park, and Camille Jindra of Burnsville; brother-in-law, Milo Madson and his wife Doris of Albert Lea; and other relatives and many friends.
Eunice is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Dorothy Riordan.
