Mary Zajac, 81, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Mary Zajac, of Albert Lea, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 1, at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel. The Rev. Robert Schneider will officiate. Visitation will be held today from 5-8 p.m. at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will be in Lakewood Cemetery, Albert Lea.
Mary died Tuesday, July 29, 2003, at Albert Lea Medical Center in Albert Lea. She was 81 years of age.
Mary was born on July 11, 1922 in Barney, N.D., the daughter of Joe and Julia (Faulkner) Conzemius. On April 29, 1941, she was united in marriage to John Zajac in Barney, N.D. She lived in Robbinsdale before moving to Albert Lea in 2001 to live with her granddaughter, Connie.
Mary enjoyed watching TV, movies, birds, picnics by the lake, going for car rides and playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed having coffee and tea with her dog.
Mary is survived by her sister, Ellien (Vernon) Nygaard of Fridley, Minn.; children: Shirley Reinartz of Minneapolis, Sharon (Bob) Curo of Hackensack, Minn., Carol Anderson of Albert Lea, John (Gwen) Zajac of Detroit Lakes, Minn., and Brenda (Terry) Ames of Detroit Lakes. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; and son, George.
