Lorraine H. Stam, 72, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Lorraine H. Stam of Albert Lea will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 17, at St. Theodore Catholic Church. The Rev. Robert Schneider will officiate. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 16, from 4-8 p.m. at Bonnerup Funeral Service, and one hour prior to the service at the church. There will be a scripture prayer service Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. Interment will be in St. Theodore Catholic Cemetery.

Lorraine died Monday, July 14, 2003, at Methodist Hospital in Rochester. She was 72 years of age.

Lorraine was born Feb. 1, 1931, in Albert Lea, the daughter of Frank and Cecilia (Hassing) Schultz. She was a graduate of Albert Lea High School. Lorraine was united in marriage to Francis Stam in Albert Lea.

Lorraine was a lifetime resident of Albert Lea and a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church. She was a retired employee of the Fleetguard Inc. in Lake Mills, Iowa. Lorraine was an avid reader and enjoyed collecting angels, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Curt Schultz of Albert Lea, Debra Peterson of Albert Lea, Diane Peterson of Albert Lea, Donna Johnson of Albert Lea, and Michael Stam of Albert Lea; grandchildren: Jeremiah Peterson and special friend Terri Boyer, Bobby Johnson and Jenna Peterson; sisters: Margaret Schultz of Albert Lea, and Irene Heiny of Plymouth, Iowa; brothers: Leo (Barbara) Schultz of Victoria, Minn., Roger (Delores) Schultz of Albert Lea and Alton Schultz of Albert Lea; and sisters-in-law: Millie Schultz and Evelyn Schultz, both of Albert Lea. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three brothers: Robert, Raymond and Alvin Schultz; brother-in-law, William Heiny; and nephew, Robert Schultz.

There will be no more battles to battle, no more suffering to suffer. She will be greatly missed by her children and grandchildren. May she rest in peace forever.
