A nationwide test of the Emergency Alert System will occur at 1 p.m. Wednesday via TV and radio stations. The Federal Emergency Management Agency is working in partnership with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, the Federal Communications Commission and local broadcasters to conduct the test.
