Trayvon Marquis Forrest, 22, and Michael Lee Kraft, 18, of Fort Dodge, Iowa, were arrested by Freeborn County sheriff’s deputies in Iowa on robbery charges.
Police responded to a call from Jansen Street at about 7 p.m. Monday from two 18-year-old victims from Wisconsin. The victims told police they were supposed to meet with two males from Iowa in Albert Lea.
They were traveling with the suspects northbound on Interstate 35 when Forrest and Kraft allegedly physically assaulted them, duct-taped them, and left them in Albert Lea while taking their luggage, money and cell phones. The suspects drove away southbound in a silver Pontiac Bonneville.
