If you’ve noticed some athletically clad young men and women in the local diner asking for the &uot;bill&uot; to pay for their &uot;fish and chips,&uot; and could they be directed to the &uot;petrol station&uot; to fill up the &uot;motor,&uot; it is likely they are professional coaches from ProExcel Soccer Camps.
Albert Lea Youth Soccer Association will host the 4th Annual ProExcel Soccer Camp June 9-13 at the Hammer soccer fields. The camp, open to boys and girls age 5-18, is held from 9 a.m. to noon each day. It is not only a top class soccer education but also provides the fringe benefit of an education in the Queen’s English.
ProExcel Regional Manager, Simon Brinklow, said, &uot;The camps certainly do become a real cultural experience, but I am never sure who learns more, the ProExcel coaches about life in America or the kids about life in Britain,&uot; said Brinklow. &uot;It truly is a wonderful exchange.&uot;
To register for the camp contact Dave Van Fossen at (507) 373-8114, or visit www.ProExcel.com to register online.
