Helen Henrietta Hofius, 98, of Owatonna, died Friday, April 11, 2003 at Cedarview Nursing Home. She was born April 27, 1904 in Owatonna the daughter of Edward and Martha (Buboltz) Reiter. Helen married Allen Hofius Sept. 30, 1925 in Owatonna. She worked at Rohrer Drug and Thrifty Drug. Helen also worked at many other stores in Owatonna. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a former member of St. John Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading and traveling. Helen’s family was a very important part of her life.

Helen is survived by Donald Hofius (Son) of Owatonna; one grandson and one great-grandson; Kenneth Reiter (brother) of Owatonna and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Allen, one brother, one sister and one granddaughter. Visitation will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home, 1930 Austin Road on Monday from 4-7 p.m. and on Tuesday at Trinity Lutheran Church from 1-2 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Owatonna. The Rev. Louisa Fure of Trinity Lutheran Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. John Cemetery in Owatonna.
