Bernice Linda Lembke, 81, rural Conger

Funeral services for Bernice Linda Lembke of rural Conger will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, March 21, 2003 at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Conger. The Rev. William Greaver will officiate. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel in Albert Lea, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at the Hillcrest Cemetery, Albert Lea.

Mrs. Lembke died Tuesday evening at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester. She was 81 years of age.

Bernice was born Nov. 11, 1921 in Alden, the daughter of George and Mata (Jahnke) Abbe. She attended District 81 schools.

Bernice was united in marriage to August B. Lembke on Sept. 23, 1938 at the Mansfield Lutheran Church. Together they farmed for many years in rural Conger. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church and was active in the Miriam Circle.

Bernice loved the out of doors, especially watching the birds. Farming was her life, which she dearly loved.

She is survived by her children: Marlene and her husband Lowell Klukow of Albert Lea, Larry Lembke of rural Conger, and James and his wife Janice Lembke of Albert Lea; grandchildren: Michelle (Rick) Bellrichard, Lisa (Kermit) Iverson, Jeffery (Melissa) Lembke and Jill Lembke; great-grandchildren: Breanna Bellrichard and Abigail and Kathryn Iverson; one sister, Phyllis Brandt of Albert Lea; sisters-in-law: Velura Lembke of Albert Lea, Neva Lembke of Albert Lea, Beatrice and her husband Stanley Johnson of Albert Lea and Gertrude Stalheim of Deer Park, Wis.

Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, husband August in 1993, great-grandson Brian

Bellrichard and one sister, Lolene and her husband Maynard Wacholz.
