According to the St. Paul Police Department, officers found the two victims after dispatchers received a 911 call of a stabbing just after 7 a.m. Saturday. When they arrived at the apartment building, near the intersection of Farrington Street and West Arlington Avenue, they found the Albert Lea man critically injured from stab wounds.

He died shortly after.

The woman, identified as Paw Pree, 40, of St. Paul, was found nearby and was injured with stab wounds. St. Paul Fire Department medics transported her to Regions Hospital where she is being treated, according to police.

While at the apartment, officers also found Ber, who is Pree’s husband. Ber was arrested without incident as a suspect in the case.

Police stated the Albert Lea man was an acquaintance of the couple.

The incident is still under investigation.

According to the St. Paul Pioneer Press, investigators were combing the grounds of the two apartment buildings on the block during the day Saturday. One of them took what appeared to be bedding from a corner of one of the buildings and placed it in an evidence bag.

Investigators expect to present a case to the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office in the next few days for consideration of charges.
