Here are highlights in history for Nov. 22, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1990 — Special Christmas cards with a local touch were created by Litho Printing & Graphics to be used by local residents for members of the armed forces serving in Saudi Arabia and in the Persian Gulf region.
1980 — The Tribune’s project of the week feature was an imitation brick fireplace with an electrical fire log. The plans were available for a fee from an address in Van Nuys, Calif.
1940 — Richard W. Morin spoke to Albert Lea Rotarians about the activities of his grandfather, William Morin, an early Freeborn County resident.
