Pizza delivery assault defendant Juan Miguel Sanchez is back in the Freeborn County Jail for violating a probation condition.
Sanchez, 19, was bailed out with a $5,000 bond last June after pleading not guilty to first-degree aiding and abetting aggravated robbery.
He is the key suspect in an attack on a Domino’s Pizza delivery person last May. According to the complaint, Sanchez stole $16.10 and pizza from the driver after hitting him with an ax handle. Among five suspects arrested, Sanchez and another juvenile were accused of being directly involved in the assault.
On Jan. 15, Sanchez did not appear at a pre-trial hearing. The court found that he had not been checking in daily at the jail, as required as a release condition, and issued a warrant.
Sanchez showed up for a hearing last week and admitted the violation, and was placed in jail again. His bail was set at $20,000 without conditions and $10,000 with conditions.
