Olive T. Eastvold, 87, Albert Lea

The funeral service for Olive T. Eastvold, of Albert Lea, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23,

at Grace Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Todd M. Walsh will officiate. Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery, Oakland Township. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, and one hour before the service at the church.

Olive went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003, at the Good Samaritan Center In Albert Lea. She was 87.

Olive was born on Sept. 21, 1915, in Trinity, Texas, the daughter of Theodore and Oline (Wangen) Bell. She graduated from Albert Lea High School. Olive married John A. Eastvold on Jan. 1. 1939, in Albert Lea.

Olive and John lived in Albert Lea until 1973. During this time they built, lived in, and decorated three homes. They also owned and operated Johnny’s Camper Supply. In 1973, they moved to live in Casa Grande, Arizona, where they lived until returning to Albert Lea In 1996. They enjoyed many travels together throughout their life. Olive”s first priority in life was her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and was an exceptional homemaker. She was also in avid gardener. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church where she had been a deaconess and a Sunday School teacher. She also had been active in volunteering for the Naeve Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by her children: Robert and his wife Sandra of Prescott Valley, Ariz., Cecelia “Ce-Ce&uot; Brecke of Clarks Grove, Karen and her husband Terry Cotton of Solon, Iowa, and Roger Eastvold and his wife Kari of Morgan Hill, Calif.; son-in-law, Swede Muehlhausen of Shelby Township, Mich.; grandchildren: Dawn Fairchild, Kristi EastvoId-Rakowski, Steven Eastvold, Paul Brecke, Jeffrey Brecke, Michelle Brecke, Susan Eggers, Terry Cotton Jr. Ann Elisa Easthausen, John Muehlhausen, Sara Muehlhausen-Murphy, Dustin Eastvold, Jessica Bilski, and Emily Eastvold; 23 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; sisters: Beatrice Winjum, Edith and her husband Harry Meyer, and Maurine “Sis” Turvold, brother, Henry “Hank” Bell and his wife Billie; sisters-in-law: Mavis Bell, Mildred Bell, and Helen Eastvold; and many nieces and nephews.

Olive’s brother, Clifford, died shortly after she did on Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John, in 1998; daughter, Janell Muehlhausen; grandchildren: Belinda Brecke, Christopher Robert Eastvold, and Robert Todd Eastvold; son-in-law, James C. Brekke; and brothers and sisters: Joseph Bell, Gladys Sandvold, Thelma Bell In infancy, Gertrude Foley, Anna Root, Cecelia Bell at age 1-1/2, Theodore “Bud” Bell and Kenneth Bell.
