Gary L. Randall, age 58, of Owatonna, died Monday, Jan. 13, 2003, at St. Marys Hospital following complications of a stroke.
He was born Jan. 26, 1944, in Mankato, the son of Roscoe and Alta (Cotton) Randall. He attended Mapleton High School in Mapleton, Minn. He married Miriam Payne in 1968. The couple later divorced. In 1985, he married Vicki Olivo. He owned and operated “Randall Welding and Repair” in Blooming Prairie for many years. For the past 16 years he lived in Owatonna and was employed by Cedar Valley Services as production manager. He enjoyed playing golf, shooting pool, driving race cars and bowling.
Survivors include two daughters: Michele Damiano of Maplewood, Minn., and
Kelly Randall of St. Paul; a son, Brad and Lisa Randall of Cottage Grove, Minn.,; step daughter, Vonnie and Travis Pizel of Rochester; step son, J. J. and Kay Villarreal of Minneapolis; brother, Dan and Mary Randall of Madison Lake, Minn.; two sisters: Lee Ann and Bob Elmore of Guernsey, Wyo., and Sheila Lee ) of Corcoran, Minn; and three grandchildren: Quin, Bryce and Anna.
He was preceded in death by his father, Roscoe Randall; his mother, Alta Cotton; and a son, Troy.
Visitation will be held at Michaelson Funeral Home, Owatonna, on Thursday from 4-7 p.m., and on Friday at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church from 1-2 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 17, at 2 p.m. at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Owatonna. The Rev. Stephen Kidder will officiate.
Memorials are preferred to Cedar Valley Services or donor’s choice.
