A suspect in two Friday morning burglaries in Albert Lea was arrested by an Iowa state trooper near Hampton, Iowa over the weekend, according to Albert Lea police.
The man is suspected of two burglaries that happened before dawn on Friday: One at Indy Lube and one at China Buffet, both in Albert Lea, said Assistant Police Chief Dwaine Winkels. Front doors were broken and cash and change was stolen from the businesses.
The trooper pulled the suspect over for a traffic violation and noticed the allegedly stolen property in his vehicle, then took him into custody.
