A judge set bail for Rose Marie Modderman, who was charged with embezzlement, at $80,000 Monday.

Modderman is accused of stealing more than $100,000 from Olson Manufacturing in Albert Lea, where she used to be an account manager.

According to the investigation, the embezzlement took place between November 2000 and May 2001 when the employer, Dave Olson, was absent from the company. As the Albert Lea Police Department started the investigation, Modderman disappeared from town, leaving a note saying that she was sorry.
