Roger Jerome Bibus, 80, Hayfield

Roger Jerome Bibus, 80, died Thursday evening, Nov. 21, 2002, at Field Crest Care Center in Hayfield, Minn.

Roger was born Feb. 6, 1922, in Blooming Prairie, Minn. the son of August and Ruby (Thompson) Bibus. Roger drove school bus at the age of 19, and had served in the Air Force in WWII. He worked for George Tonolli-Johnson Hardware in Blooming Prairie. He also set up grain bins with Harvey Ille. Roger was a member of the VFW in Blooming Prairie.

Roger was united in marriage to Dorothy Garr on Feb. 25, 1949 in Carson City, Nev. and the couple were later divorced.

Roger is survived by one daughter, Linda K. and husband, Gary Williamson, Stewartville, Minn.; one son, Jerry and wife, Leann Bibus, Albert Lea; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and one nephew, Mike and wife, Maureen Bibus, Austin, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Lola Bibus.

Friends and family may call from 10-11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25, 2002 at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 25, 2002 at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Hayfield with Rev. Richard Hegal officiating. Interment will be in Red Oak Grove Lutheran Cemetery in Blooming Prairie with military honors by Blooming Prairie VFW-American Legion.
