The funeral service for Agnes O. Blowers, of New Richland, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2002 at LeSueur River Lutheran Church, rural New Richland. The Rev. Charles Espe will officiate. Interment will be in LeSueur River Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before services at the church. Friedrich Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Agnes died on Friday, Nov. 15, 2002 at St. John’s Lutheran Home. She was 89.

She was born on Nov. 12, 1913, in Waseca County, the daughter of Paul and Thea (Burtness) Hogaas. She attended rural country school near New Richland and then New Richland High School.

In 1935, she married Vernon John Blowers. They lived and farmed near New Richland.

She was a member of LeSueur River Lutheran Church.

She enjoyed going out to eat, quilting, canning, baking and gardening.

She is survived by her son, LaVerne Blowers and his wife Barbara of Waseca; two daughters, Karen and her husband Mark Richter of Conger, and Linda and her husband Dale Hall of Rochester; two grandchildren, Kristen Richter of LaCrosse, Wis., and Jonathan Richter, a student at Gustavus in St. Peter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Vernon on Nov. 15, 2001, and a sister, Clarice Johnson.
