Marcie Ann Godtland was born March 20, 1959, in Albert Lea and passed away peacefully in her home Nov. 9, 2002. She was the daughter of Jeanette (Heegard) and the late Ellsworth Godtland.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 2 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Todd Walsh will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Our special angel that God sent to us on a beautiful spring day, knowing her, we would like to think she made better people out of all of us. We thank God for the length of time we had with her.

Marcie is survived by her mother, her loving care giver for 43 years; a sister; Linda Hanna and her special friend Mike Rahn; niece Courtney Hanna, and two very special people in her life, Carol Sherman and Nancy Toft. Aunts and uncles Georgia and Arnold Johnson, Eleanor Godtland, Dorothy Godtland, Arthur Jr. and Olive Godtland, Ruth Whiteis, LuVerne and Jeannie Godtland, Lois Undahl, Ronald and Karen Godtland, Richard and Sandy Godtland, Darrell and Shirley Heegard, Delores and Howard Petersen, Roger and Lois Bailey, Marilyn Amerson, Mona Hammer and many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father; grandparents Agnes and Harvey Heegard and Grace and Arthur Godtland; uncles LuVerne Heegard, Glen Godtland, Don Godtland, Raymond Godtland, Dale Whiteis, and DeVerne Undahl; and aunt Arlene Godtland.

She will be sadly missed by those who were blessed to know her but at peace and at home with those loved ones that preceded her.
