Here are highlights in history for Dec. 13, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1991 — John and K Adamec, counselors and co-directors of the Freeborn County Chemical Dependency Center, were involved with the 20th anniversary of this organization.
1981 — Preparations were being made for an auction in Emmons at a hardware store that closed 40 years earlier, and still had much of its merchandise.
1971 — Royal Baseman, constable in Glenville, resigned this position to become the police chief in Thompson, Iowa.
