The celebration of life for Doreen Caliguri will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 24, at the United Methodist Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. James W. Hann will officiate. Friends may visit with family at the family home, 301 Lee Circle, on Tuesday, July 23, from 5-7 p.m. Bonnerup Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.

Doreen died surrounded by the love of her family on Sunday, July 21, 2002. She was 83.

She was born in Newcastle, England, on Nov. 15, 1919, the daughter of Joseph and Hannah (Reed) Martin.

Doreen had been a resident of Albert Lea for the past four years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

She loved the time she has spent at the Albert Lea YMCA in the Swimnastics and Yoga programs.

Her life centered on her children and grandchildren and she will be greatly missed and celebrated by her daughters: Carole and her husband Tony Bower of Albert Lea, and Kathleen and her husband Thomas Snow of Pleasant Ridge, Mich.; her grandchildren: Paul Bower of Albert Lea, John Bower of Minneapolis, and Sara Snow and Jeffrey Snow, both of Pleasant Ridge, Mich.; her husband, Orland Caliguri of Florida; a sister, Joan DeJohn of Florida; a brother, Jack Martin of Washington State; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Alice Fields.
