Antique tractors needed for county fair display

This year’s Freeborn County Fair will again feature antique tractors in several familiar colors, including green, red and orange and even a combination of other colors.
However, for this to become possible, Nordean Krueger, one of the committee members, says the owners and restoration enthusiasts should make their tractors from the past available for public display and appreciation.
Krueger explains that the tractors to be displayed should be 1970 and older models in &uot;nicely restored&uot; condition.
Krueger added that there were a hundred antique and older model tractors on display at the 2001 fair. This array is reportedly one of the largest of its type in the region.
He emphasized that these tractors will be fenced in and guarded each night at the fair.
Those wishing to participate and display their tractors should contact one of the antique tractor committee members by entry day, Monday, July 29.
The committee members are: Alton Kvenvold (256-7639), Eddie Johnson (373-2197), Nordean Krueger (373-5014), Duane Anderson (448-0021), Everett Jensen (256-4120), and Marvin Thompson (448-3427).
