MINNEAPOLIS — A Minneapolis food pantry is scrambling to feed nearly 200 families after more than 1,500 pounds of donations were stolen.
Just days before its annual giveaway, police say a person who volunteered to transport the food from a staging area to the Camden Promise Food Shelf at Gethsemane Lutheran Church drove away with the donations.
The Rev. Jeff Nehrbass tells said it’s difficult to understand “how a person can go from helping to taking.”
Police say no arrests have been made.
