Ruth Timm, 87, Bricelyn

Funeral services for Ruth Timm, age 87, of Bricelyn, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, at the North Blue Earth Church in rural Bricelyn. The Rev.
Ed Niemann and the Rev. Patricia Hinkie will officiate. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Bricelyn, and one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the North Blue Earth Lutheran Cemetery, Brush Creek Township, Faribault County.
She died Saturday, June 1, 2002, at her home in Bricelyn of natural causes.
Ruth was born Jan. 29, 1915 in Brush Creek Township, Faribault County, to Tver and Ingehorg (Loen) Iverson. She married Alfred Timm on Aug. 26, 1945, at the North Blue Earth Lutheran Church.
Ruth and her husband farmed in the Blue Earth area until 1951. They then moved to her homeplace and farmed there until Alfred’s death in 1974. She had worked at St. Luke’s Lutheran Home in Blue Earth. She was a lifetime member of North Blue Earth Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School and was active in the Ladies Aid and Circle. She enjoyed making quilts, sewing, reading, playing cards and cooking. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by three children: Mary Zimmerman of Preston, Dale and wife Nancy Timm of Chatfield, and Dan and wife JoDell Timm of Bricelyn; eight grandchildren; one great-grandson; one sister, Dorothy Wangen of Albert Lea; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Alfred, In 1974; nine brothers: Elmer, Howard, Arnold, Magnus, Rudolph, Willard, Maurice, Orlando and Gordon Iverson; one sister, Alma Erickson; and son-in-law, Paul Zimmerman.
