Georgetta Dreyer, 89, of Madison, Wis.

Georgetta Emma “Gerry” Dreyer, 89, formerly of Austin, died Wednesday evening, Dec. 14, 2011, at Oak Park Place Senior Community in the Madison, Wis., area. She was born March 4, 1922, to George and Etta (Mathews) Bannick in Renwick, Iowa. She attended school in Lotts Creek, Iowa. Gerry married George Dreyer on May 25, 1946, in Sioux Falls, S.D. Georgetta and George made their home in Austin where Georgetta was a member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. A member of the church choir, she also enjoyed sewing, gardening, flowers and playing cards. George passed away on March 17, 2008. Georgetta moved to Wisconsin in April of 2011.

Survivors include five daughters: Doris (James) Reim of Waldport, Ore., Annette Haro of Springfield, Mo., Kay “LeEtte” (William) Bauers of Albert Lea, Linda (Daniel) Bloor of Wauchula, Fla., and Wendy Thompson of Mankato; one son, Randy (Kathy) Dreyer of Waunakee, Wis.; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Etta Bannick; her husband, George; one sister and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 7, 2012, at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at church. Interment is at Grandview Cemetery, Austin. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com.
