Blustery day for Albert Lea area

Wind speeds are expected to be strong today, with gusts anywhere from 30 to 45 mph and sustained winds of 16 to 26 mph, according to the National Weather Service.

It has issued a wind advisory for Freeborn County and much of southern Minnesota. The winds should begin to diminish in the mid-afternoon.
