Evelyn Emma Darg, 91, Albert Lea

Funeral services for Evelyn E. Darg, age 91, of Albert Lea, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 10, at United Methodist Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Greg Ciesluk will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. today at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the services at the church.
Evelyn died Tuesday, May 7, 2002, at the Albert Lea Medical Center.
Evelyn Emma Darg was born April 14,1911, to William and Mary (Noftsker) Buschow in Waseca County where she grew up. She was a graduate of New Richland High School. On Dec. 14, 1935, Evelyn was united in marriage to Wayne Darg at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. She was a cashier at Piggly/Wiggly for many years. Evelyn was a member of the United Methodist Church where she had been a Sunday School teacher. Time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was very special to her.
Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Stenzel and husband Alvin of New Richland; grandchildren: Wayne Stenzel and wife Marcy, and Chris Stenzel and wife Jackie, all of Rochester; great-grandchildren: Nick and Abby Stenzel, also of Rochester; sisters: Rosezella Redman of Wells, Ardella Dinneen of Wells, and Phyllis Oelerking of Albert Lea; and nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wayne; a son, Thomas, in infancy; and a sister, Helen Young.
