LE ROY &045; After a tough tournament at Waterville, it was just what the Glenville-Emmons volleyball team needed.

The Wolverines, 1-3 in Saturday’s Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Invitational, bounced back with a hard-earned Southeast Conference victory at LeRoy-Ostrander Tuesday. The final tally was 25-14, 21-25, 25-21, 25-27, 15-8.

&uot;We came out looking real good,&uot; said coach Lisa Ziebell. &uot;We ran into some trouble with serve receive and digging, but we regained our composure and were able to get the win. Hopefully, we’re

getting back on the right track after a rough weekend at Waterville.&uot;

The Wolverines’ leaders at LeRoy: Alicia Reyerson 19 kills, seven service points; Chelsey Ziebell 13 kills, 31 digs; Stephanie Peterson nine kills, 25 digs; Jordan Claussen seven kills, 34 digs, 18 service points, 70-for-73 setting, 23 assists; Kara Honsey 12 service points; Sam Stadheim 11 service points; Miranda Kral 12 digs, three set assists; Mallory Paulsen 43 digs.

The Wolverines served 94 percent as a team.

At Waterville, the Wolverines dropped their opener to Maple River 25-14, 27-25, defeated Cleveland 25-21, 21-16 and lost to Belle Plaine 25-14, 25-21 in pool play. In the consolation round they fell to Madelia/Truman 25-16, 25-21, 15-6.

not come to play that day,&uot; said Coach Ziebell.

Individual leaders: Claussen 30 service points, 11 set assists, 42 digs; Honsey 10 service points, 22 digs; Peterson 19 service points, 10 kills, 38 digs; Stadheim seven service points, three kills; Chelsey Ziebell 15 service points, 35 digs, seven kills; Reyerson four service points, nine kills; Amanda Epland six kills; Amanda Weiss eight digs; Paulsen 53 digs; Kral 14 digs.

&uot;Hopefully we learned from that tournament and are ready to move forward,&uot; said Coach Ziebell.

The action brought the Wolverines’ record to 4-1 in the SEC and 5-5 overall.
