Whatever Christmas means to you, it’s a time for joy and giving. In a year of conflict and economic crisis, Christmas reminds us all that peace on earth and good will toward men are goals we should have our sights on all year long.

No matter how you are spending this Christmas – with relatives in other cities, or hosting family at your own home, or spending time with friends – keep in mind the spirit of the season, and perhaps think of how life would be if everyone was always as willing to give and share as at Christmas time.

At the same time, we must treasure this time of year for its special signifcance in both our culture and religion. Here’s hoping this year is a Christmas to remember.
