Crashes reported on slick roads

Three crashes without injuries were reported in a 40-minute span Wednesday afternoon in Albert Lea.
According to reports, the first, at 3:46 p.m., was at the intersection of Bridge Avenue and Hammer Road. The other crashes were at 4:08 p.m. near the intersection of Bridge Avenue and Minnie Maddern Street and at 4:21 p.m. near the intersection of South First Avenue and West Main Street.
An additional crash was reported on Interstate 90 near mile 168 at 6:22 p.m. Wednesday. According to Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office reports, a vehicle was on its side. There were no injuries.
The forecast calls for sunny skies Friday but the cold air will remain.
Stolen checks cashed
Stolen checks from Mankato were reported cashed at 1719 W. Main St., at 12:38 p.m. Wednesday, according to reports.
Gas line hit
A gas line at 902 St. Jacob Ave. was reported hit at 1:50 p.m. Wednesday. According to reports, crews from a siding company stated a piece of concrete fell and hit the line. The leak was near a gas meter, and firefighters were able to shut off the gas.
One injured in crash
One traffic crash with injuries was reported near the intersection of Bridge Avenue and Hills Lane at 5:05 p.m. Wednesday. According to reports, the crash involved three vehicles. One person was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea. No other information was available.
