WALKER — Cass County prosecutors have charged a jilted boyfriend with attempted murder and arson in a fire at the home of his ex-girlfriend’s parents.

A criminal complaint alleges 22-year-old Brandon Todd Sannan set the house in Chickama Beach on fire Jan. 8 and knew there were people inside. Timothy and Carla Voelke, six grandchildren and another minor child escaped the burning house, which was a total loss.
