What does the GOP propose for health?

If the Republicans’ plan is to offer little more than outrageous propaganda toward Democrats (and others) month after month, they should at least be fair enough to answer a few questions. Don Sorensen’s recent column inviting angry voters to join the Republican Tea Party read more like an invitation to Sarah Palin’s and the Mad Hatter’s tea party. I wondered what the Republicans were offering in exchange for all the benefits these new enrollees would lose — benefits they gained through the Democratic Party such as, Social Security, Medicare, etc.

Mr. Sorensen made no such offer, only continuous bashing of Democrats, leftists, and liberals, blaming them for every problem we have. Bush was to be exonerated, but “Ivy League, socialists, and intellectual elitists” should, he wrote, be banished to Europe — the home of their ancestors.

There was, however, one promising note, and that was Don Sorensen alluding to “a more realistic health care plan.” America (and the media) would be especially interested in what the Republicans’ health care plan would involve. And so my two questions to either Don Sorensen or the Republican Party are: What entitlements or benefits of any kind do you offer citizens? And what type of health care plan do you envision?
