LAKE MILLS, Iowa — Carlie Christianson scored 16 points, and Megan Johnson added 11 for Lake Mills, but it wasn’t enough as a poor third quarter doomed the Bulldogs girls’ basketball team in a 57-45 loss to Forest City.
The Bulldogs (4-8) trailed 14-12 after one quarter and 28-25 at half but were outscored 17-6 in the third.
“The girls played a better ballgame tonight where they kept their intensity high,” Bulldogs coach Beth Van Roekel said. “We missed some key baskets down low that could have changed the game.”
The Bulldogs’ Catherine Adams had five points and a team-high four assists, and Kelci Larson and Brook Groe each recorded six rebounds in the loss.
