Van rear-ends school bus

An Albert Lea Bus Co. school bus that was stopped to pick up kids near the intersection of Frank Avenue and Eighth Street was reportedly rear-ended by a van at about 7:15 a.m. today. According to police, the van slid into the bus because of slippery road conditions. No one was injured, and the driver of the van was cited for no insurance.
Several vehicles broken into
Multiple automobiles were reported broken into on Monday in Albert Lea. Nothing was missing from any of the vehicles.
Reports stated a truck was broken into at 1021 Frank Ave. at 10:17 a.m. Monday.
A vehicle was reported a rummaged through at 417 E. Fourth St. at 10:33 a.m. Monday.
A vehicle was reported gone through at 620 E. Seventh St. at 10:35 a.m. Monday.
Two vehicles at 1013 Frank Hall Drive was reported gone through at 12:55 p.m. Monday.
2 garages broken into
Two garages in Albert Lea were reported broken into Monday afternoon.
According to reports, a garage at 104 S. Ermina Ave. was reported broken into at 3:05 p.m. Monday. Nothing was missing.
A garage at 623 Water St. was reported broken into at 4:28 p.m. Stereo equipment was taken.
One cited for drunken driving
Police cited Nicholas Joseph Gangruth for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop at 2:03 a.m. Sunday near the intersection of West Front Street and U.S. Highway 69, according to reports.
Wrenches, gasoline taken
A grass trimmer, impact wrenches and gasoline were reported stolen from 14140 U.S. Highway 69 at 9:33 a.m. Monday, according to reports.
Saws stolen
Two saws were reported stolen from a worksite at 14982 735th Ave. at 9:33 a.m. Monday, according to police.
Medications stolen
Medications were reported stolen from an apartment at Shady Oaks, 800 S. Fourth Ave., at 3:26 p.m. Monday, according to police.
Juveniles cited for damage
Three juveniles were cited for damaging lights at 1601 Todd Ave. at 6:32 p.m. Monday, reports stated.
