No one finds the Big Freeze medallion

The Big Freeze had a great turnout on Saturday, which was the goal of the Big Freeze medallion hunt in the first place.
By raising awareness of the Big Freeze all week through clues to find the medallion, said one of the organizers, Perry Vining of the Big Island Rendezvous, it was hoped that people would take greater notice of the event itself.
However, no one found the medallion. The finder would have won $300 in Chamber Bucks from the Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce.
Vining, who organized the medallion hunt, said he hid it inside a birdhouse he set on a limb of a tree along the Blazing Star Trail. The birdhouse was “the last house on the left.”
“The reason no one found it,” Vining said, “is that the snowstorm on Monday and Tuesday, hid the birdhouse from sight. It looks like it was part of the limb of the tree and was not noticed by anyone.
“There were footprints within 10 feet or less of the house, so two people were very close and probably would have found it had the birdhouse been visible and not covered with snow.”
The following are the clues from the past week. Vining gives the explanations behind the clues. Here was the clue for Feb. 7, with the explanation in parentheses:
