Several area churches are gathering at Trinity Lutheran New Year’s Eve to ring in the new millennium. The public is invited. Above, Judy Christensen, Darcey Plantage and Gwen Plantage rehearse for the celebration. At 10 p.m. there will be a prayer service. At 10:30 p.m., worship and praise will be led by the Rev. George Marin of Grace Christian Church. He will be accompanied by Ed Plantage of Trinity Lutheran and the Rev. Lee Freshour. At 11 p.m., the Rev. Doug Wahlberg of Trinity Lutheran will lead &uot;A Thousand Years in Thy Sight.&uot; Holy communion will follow. The evening will close with praise and worship led by Jo Lacore and Ed Plantage.
