ST. PAUL — The attorney for the Minnesota Senate staff member who was recently fired for undisclosed reasons says his client doesn’t plan to go away quietly.

Philip Villaume is representing former Senate communications chief Michael Brodkorb who lost his job last month a day after Amy Koch resigned as Senate majority leader. Villaume said Brodkorb will seek monetary damages for wrongful dismissal.

Villaume said Brodkorb will not name Koch in any legal proceedings, but might target other GOP senators who played a part in firing him.

Koch stepped down as majority leader after admitting to an inappropriate relationship with a male staffer, which many allege was Brodkorb.
