Madelia pushes past Alden-Conger boys

Poor shooting held the Alden-Conger boys’ basketball team back Friday night in a 54-51 loss to Madelia in Alden.
The Knights made 12 of 37 shots from the field and had a chance in the second half to take over the game.
Alden-Conger led by one midway through the second half but never got close after that.
Spencer Niebuhr led the Knights (6-12, 2-7 Valley) with 12 points. Travis Marth scored 11 and Tyler Adix 10.
Kendall Peterson led Madelia with 15 points and Taylor Ulmen scored 14.
