Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum has won the Republican caucuses in Freeborn County.

The results are in and have been revised. The figures the Freeborn County Republican Party sent to the state Republican Party are:

Rick Santorum 105 — 40.5%

Mitt Romney 64 — 24.7%

Newt Gingrich 49 — 18.9%

Ron Paul 41 –15.8%

Total votes: 259

Freeborn County Republican Party Chairman Al Arends said Santorum has spent more time in southern Minnesota. He said Santorum is the most conservative of the four candidates and speaks often on social issues.

“He’s worked harder here,” Arends said.
