Mary Ann Jensen, 89

Mary Ann Jensen, 89, Anna, Texas, formerly of Albert Lea, passed away peacefully Feb. 21, 2010, one month and two days before her 90th birthday in Plano, Texas. She had a six and a half year battle with congestive heart failure. Her daughter Patricia Wilson was by her side.
Mary was born March 23, 1920, in Queens, N.Y., to Joseph and Amilia (Stulcz) Popowicz. She was the youngest of three children. She married Minor Clayton Jensen on Dec. 15, 1945, in Queens, to this blessed union nine children were born. Mary worked at Land O’Lakes in Albert Lea while raising her children.
She survived by her daughter, JoAnn Jensen, of Phoenix, Ariz., (her children, Michael Hendrickson, Phoenix; Dawn Marie Hendrickson of Wray, Colo., [her children: Krystal and David Cabezuela], and Matthew (Heidi) Hendrickson of St. Cloud [their son, Clayton Hendrickson]; son, James Jensen, of Klamath Falls, Ore.; son, John Jensen, of Grants Pass, Ore. (his children: Dawn Michelle, Derrick, Kristin (Bobby) Harness of Denver, Colo., (their children: Daniel and Jasmine Harness), and Kelli Jensen, Albert Lea; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Michael Wilson of Anna, Texas, whom she lived with and was taken care of for 30 years, and their children: Jennifer (Max) Escamilla of Anna, Texas, [their children, Alexis, Dante and Sean Escamilla]; Jessica Wilson of San Francisco, Calif.; and Patrick (Bridgette) Wilson of Lubbock, Texas (their child Tanner Wilson); her daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Roger Schaper of Bricelyn (their son Adam (Holly) Schaper of Bricelyn, (their children Toni, Aiden, and Lizzy); her son, Joseph Jensen of Albert Lea (children Jeremiah, Jade, Eva, Dakota, and Jed); her daughter, Jeannette (Jensen) Lein of Sturgis, S.D. (her children Tommy Jensen (his son, Christopher), Jason and Lisa Lein]; her son, Robert Jensen, of Albert Lea (children Robert Aguilar of San Francisco, Calif., and Nichole Finn of Henderson, Nev.); and her daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Troy Johnson of Albert Lea (their son Coltan Johnson).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Minor Clayton Jensen (March 10, 1975); her parents: Joseph and Amilia (Stulcz) Popowicz; her brothers: Joseph Popowicz and twin brother Edward Popowicz; several half brothers and sisters; mother and father-in-law: Malvia and Chris Jensen; one granddaughter, August, who passed away in premature infancy; and grandson, Christopher, who passed in premature infancy.
Everyone who met her loved her. She was a very loving mother, grandma and Bopshi. She was a very devoted Christian and loved the Lord so deeply. She is now with her Lord Jesus where she wanted to be. She will be truly and deeply missed by her family. To our Dearest Mother, Grandma, Bopshi, may you always be with the Lord. You will always be in our thoughts and hearts forever. A funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Feb. 26, 2010, in the Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Chapel. Private interment services were held at Graceland Cemetery in Albert Lea.
