The memorial service for Rodney Leon Hall of Albert Lea will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Crossroads Evangelical Free Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. Bill Miller will officiate. Visitation with his family will be one hour before the service.
Rodney died suddenly on Monday, July 6, 2009, at his home. He was 49 years old.
Rodney was born Aug. 15, 1959, in South Carolina to William E. and Marilyn Joyce (Cummings) Hall. He was confirmed at the Floyd United Methodist Church, Floyd, Iowa. Rodney graduated from Charles City High School, Charles City, Iowa. He married Shari Olson on Oct. 3, 1998, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua, Iowa. The past 11 years they have lived in Albert Lea. Rodney worked for Jim and Dudes Plumbing and Heating and took a lot of pride in his work. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, camping and hunting for mushrooms. He also was a craftsman and enjoyed doing woodworking. Rodney’s family and grandchildren were very important to him.
Rodney is survived by his wife, Shari Hall, of Albert Lea; four children: Jennifer Lamphier and her husband Trent of Oelwein, Iowa, Dusty Hall and his significant other Carrie of Cedar Falls, Iowa, Angela Enderson of Albert Lea and Brian Warner and his significant other Crystal of Albert Lea; grandchildren: Nolan, Rylee, Skylar, Andrew, Cody and Jadan; grandmother, Wanda Cummings of Charles City, Iowa; brother, Rick Hall and his wife Jayne of Waverly, Iowa; sister, Renee Burdett and her husband Pat of Osage, Iowa.
Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, William and Marilyn Hall; grandfather, Lester Cummings; and grandparents, Ivan and Irene Heidt.
