Warren Raben, 82

Funeral services for Warren Carl Raben of Albert Lea, will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Crossroads Evangelical Free Church. The Rev. Glen Stevens will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Bonnerup Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
Warren died Wednesday morning at the Albert Lea Medical Center. He was 82 years of age.
Warren was born July 24, 1926, in Albert Lea, the son of Carl E. and Ruth (Petersen) Raben. He was a graduate of Albert Lea High School. On April 23, 1977, he was united in marriage to Carol Thorgeson in Minneapolis.
Warren farmed east of Albert Lea all of his life, moving into town in June of 2006. He was a member of Crossroads Church and was a Gideon since 1985. Together they went on several mission trips to Texas, and he volunteered with the Salvation Army.
Warren loved to travel, work on the farm and fishing up north. He was full of life, always upbeat and humorous.
Warren is survived by his wife, Carol, of Albert Lea; nieces: Kathy (Jay) Dyrdal of Albert Lea, and their children Laura and Michael, Bev (Scott) Krause of New Richland, and their children Rachel and Nathan; nephews: David (Jane) Raben of Kenosha, Wis., and their children Anna and Molly, Larry Raben and his friend Cathy Bok of Albert Lea, Tim Raben and his friend Jill Illg of Albert Lea and his daughter Holly.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Edwin Raben; sister, Alice Raben, and sister-in-law, Audrey Raben.
